COLLECTED TEXTILE WASTE IS RECYCLED INTO T-SHIRTS
- A T-shirt that brings together volunteers and guests at Venø Festival and tells a story of responsibility and local engagement.
Venø Festival, known for its intimate atmosphere and focus on family-friendly experiences, has this year chosen a RE-CARE T-shirt from ID® Identity. The T-shirt contains 20% recycled fibres collected from Danish households, symbolising responsibility and local engagement, in line with the festival’s values.
Bringing volunteers and guests together
Over 150 volunteers work together to create a fantastic experience for 600 guests, and shared clothing plays a key role. The RE-CARE T-shirt from ID® Identity has fostered a strong sense of community among the helpers and made it easier for guests to identify the many volunteers at the festival.
"The T-shirt has helped to create a sense of community – especially for new volunteers, who could quickly find each other. At the same time, it’s a fantastic way to take a memory home from the festival," says Stefan Tholstrup Schmidt from the organising team.
Many volunteers continue to wear the T-shirt after the festival, where it also serves as a symbol of the experiences and community they have been a part of.
Focus on recycling
With the RE-CARE T-shirt, Venø Festival found a solution that not only supported their values but also offered practical benefits. The T-shirt provided volunteers with a shared identity and became a lasting memento that could be used both during and after the festival. At the same time, the T-shirt combines recycled fibres with high quality – a solution that is both functional and valuable for all involved.
"We wanted a T-shirt that could unite our volunteers while giving them something useful that they could take with them and appreciate long after the festival," says Stefan.
A T-shirt that can we worn again and again
"It’s not only the festival’s volunteers who love the T-shirt. Each year, festival guests also have the opportunity to purchase T-shirts featuring the festival’s logo. Guests often buy a T-shirt as a souvenir from the festival, and we’ve found that they continue to wear it after the event," says Stefan. “We place great emphasis on ensuring that the clothing sold at the festival is of high quality so that it can be used repeatedly. Guests were enthusiastic about the story behind the T-shirt. It’s wonderful to offer something that is not only practical but also supports our values," he adds.

A Strong Partnership
The choice of ID® Identity as a supplier was made in close collaboration with their local distributor, MR. Arthur, who worked closely with the organisers to select the right T-shirt.
"The collaboration went seamlessly. We felt well-advised and got a solution that perfectly matched our needs," concludes Stefan.
By choosing the RE-CARE T-shirt, Venø Festival aimed to highlight responsibility while also strengthening the sense of community, which is a core value for them. The T-shirt is more than just a practical item – it’s a symbol of unity and a keepsake from the festival’s unique island experience.
With the RE-CARE T-shirt, Venø Festival has shown how a T-shirt for volunteers and guests can enhance both community spirit and visual identity. ID® Identity offers solutions that combine functionality, quality, and value – perfect for any organisation that wants their clothing to become part of their story.
