Quality has always been part of our DNA. We believe that durable quality clothes are far more ethical and responsible than the 'use-and-throw-away' culture. For more than three decades, the products have been tested both in our Quality Lab and by Corporate Wear customers worldwide.
4 steps that ensure good quality and a long product life
If a new product is to be approved as part of our product range, good quality and durability are a necessity. Here at ID®, we believe that a good, durable product with a high performance is ensured through four general steps, which you can read more about below. ⤵
Step 1 - Selection of materials
Choosing good, durable high-quality materials is paramount to the quality of the product. All materials are carefully selected with a focus on quality, durability, and functionality. The materials and their inherent functionalities are the foundation of our products. They’re tested rigorously and come from suppliers with whom we have long-term business relationships.
Our high standards for materials also occasionally means that some materials will be rejected if we at ID® cannot vouch for their quality. For instance, we have rejected the use of recycled cotton in the products, as recycled cotton does not prolong the product's lifespan. On the contrary, recycled cotton lowers the quality of the product, as the cotton fibres are torn up and thus become shorter. Shorter cotton fibres equal poorer cotton and ultimately result in a lower product quality.
Therefore, we use OEKO-TEX® ORGANIC COTTON-certified cotton instead, which complies with the strict requirements of OEKO-TEX®, annex 6, product class 1 and offers EU-Ecolabel certified products. In addition, we are a proud member of the Better Cotton Initiative, which works towards making global cotton production better for the people who produce it and better for the environment in which it is grown.

Step 2 - Quality Assurance
We carry out ongoing product tests in our Quality Lab, where we ensure that the product has the right colour consistency, that the material has the right grammage, and that the measurements correspond with our measurement chart. In addition, regular textile washing tests are carried out either in the quality room or at external industrial laundries, where the shrinkage, colour, and general quality of the clothes are tested at different washing temperatures.
In addition to the tests in our Quality Lab and external partners, it is also important that our tests include the people who actually use our clothes so that we can evaluate the wear and tear and optimize the product quality subsequently. Thorough preliminary work and ongoing evaluations ensure the high quality.
It is important for us to maintain a high standard. Quality is measured in many ways - evaluating colour consistency and testing the material and construction properties ensure that the product has a long life.
Step 3 - Fit and comfort
“A good design and a snug fit are both paramount so that employees can feel comfortable and perform at their best.” To ensure a snug fit, our designer works continuously with how the clothes should be cut and sewn together so that they are comfortable and have the right look. Even the smallest details can have a large impact on whether the final design ends up exactly as it should.
The clothes are continuously tested on our in-house models, and we always make sure that the clothes comply with our standards for a snug fit and the measurements in the measurement chart.
Step 4 - Wash and care
The consumers are responsible for the washing and care for the products. We take pride in guiding the consumers to ensure an even longer product life.
Take good care of your clothes and only wash them when necessary - sometimes, it’s fine to air them, as this may also freshen up the clothes. Before washing your clothes, it is always a good idea to check the care label found on the inside of the clothes, which tells you how the clothes are to be washed. If you wash your clothes correctly, they will last longer.
We have made a guide for how you can extend the product life of your clothes by using 10 simple washing tips. You can read the guide here.
